An important development occurred in July 1952, the college was raised to First Grade and B.A. & B.Com. classes were opened. The year 1953 saw further progress. B.Sc. with Botany, Zoology & Chemistry and B.Sc. Mathematics, physics & Chemistry were opened. In July 1958, the Three year Degree courses were started in the college, thus making our institution conform to the national pattern of collegiate education.
The College crosses yet another milestone in 1991-92 when keeping the ever growing importance of Computer Science in view and in response to popular demand a new restructured course of B.Sc. with Mathematics, Physics and Computer Science and B.C.A. course were started in 1998-1999.
In view of the growing demand for basic sciences, the College has started B.Sc. with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry in English Medium in the academic years 2003-2004 and 2005-2006 respectively as additional sections.
The college has withdrawn the B.C.A. course from 2004-05 due lack of admissions.

It is a Composite College and the Permanent Aided Teaching Staff Members are working for both Intermediate and Degree (B.Sc.(MPC)-TM, B.Sc.(CBZ), BA and B.Com. only) Courses.
